So much for the AL East, Yankee fans.
After the Red Sox four game sweep of the White Sox, where they outscored Chicago something along the lines of 98-3, I'm officially conceding the AL East to the Sox.
The lead is at 7.5 with a month to play and the Yankees need to set their sights on catching a peaking Seattle team. While the Yanks will host the Red Sox this week, a sweep will only get them to 4.5 games. I hate to concede the race, but Yankee fans should just focus on how the M's are doing.
Knowing the Red Sox, there will probably be a freaking parade in Boston for winning the AL East for the first time in over a decade. Congrats. Frankly, I like the Yankees chances in a 7 game series with the Sox.
