Before I start, I want to thank A-Rod for sucking for an entire week and saving his 500th home run for Saturday. I figured I had no shot of seeing 500, since A-Rod hit 499 over a week ago. But thanks to in part to an 0-21 slump and his therapist being on vacation, A-Rod waited until Saturday and I got to be part of the electric crowd that witnessed history.
The only negative to the milestone was that A-Rod hit the homer run on the very first pitch he saw. I was adjusting the zoom on my camera when A-Rod hit the homer (which everyone was thought was going foul up until the last moment). Once everyone realized that it was a fair ball, the place went insane. Among the pandemonium, I was able to get a few pics of A-Rod's trot around the bases.

This is right after everyone realized that it was a home run. The crowd reaction was actually strange for such a historic homer run because it was a really delayed reaction. From our viewpoint in the upper deck, no one really thought the ball had a chance of staying fair. It stayed inside the poll and everyone cheered, including Scott Brosius, who was miffed that he couldn't get better seats.

A-Rod rounds first. Kinda pissed after watching SportsCenter that I didn't noticed him jumping up and down like a 6-year-old while rounding the bases.

Rounding third.....

A-Rod gets to cross home, and I finally have time to use the zoom on my camera.

Bottom corner you can see A-Rod is mobbed by his teammates, who actually appear to be genuinely happy for the guy.
It was fantastic to witness baseball history at one of the most historic places in all of sports. The only way the trip could have been better was if I was this guy.

Who the hell would buy a Scott Brosius jersey??? Out of all the great player that have played in NY over the past decade, he decided to buy a Scott Brosius jersey???
That's like being a Bulls fan but buying a Craig Hodges jersey.
Not bad seats at all....congrats on being there on the right day!
Yeah they are upper tier seats, but you have a great view of home plate. And you are in the shade for the entire game, which is fantastic for a Saturday afternoon
Pretty damn cool. I hope they get Sasha Baron Cohen to play A-Rod for the movie adaptation.
I can't recall Craig Hodges winning an NBA FInals MVP Award.
I will say that I am a huge Yankees fan, but winning a World Series MVP does not validate a player's career and make him "jersey worthy". The guy was clutch but to be honest, he kind of sucked, too.
I agree that a Brosius jersey is extreme...thankfully that is only a t-shirt.
Now my Mel Hall jersey, that is an embarassment.
Brosius jersey is awesome...he was a world series mvp...I guess GMoney decides who is and isnt "jersey worthy." I think If your team wins the world series, you can buy the t shirt jersey of the MVP. If you were a real Yankee fan you would appreciate how Brosius played the game...its what the Yankees have lacked for the past 5 years.
