I spend hours debating whether my favorite show on TV is Around the Horn or PTI. Then I spend hours wondering if it is a bad thing that I watch these two shows religiously, and am fed the exact same information at 5pm that I get at 5:30. Then I briefly contemplate how much time I waste thinking these thoughts. But that's not the point here.
When Max Kellerman left ATH, I was stunned. I swore I would never watch an episode in the "Reali Era." I eventually came to my senses and realized that I watch the show for the four panelists more than the host. Also, Reali serving as host on one and Stat Boy on another further blurred the distinction between the two and made me feel like it was all one big show.
Now I have finally come to appreciate Reali on the show, but there is something he needs to be told, and numerous times Michael Smith has tried to tell him but failed. I finally had enough after today's episode and had to post something. Here is what prompted me:
(While discussing the Detroit/Chicago series during "Buy or Sell")
Woody Paige: In the third period, the Detroit Pistons took control by going to a 3-2 defense, a zone, that confused Chicago.
Reali: Hmm...inside information!
Me: What!? How is that inside information?
Anyone watching Game 3 could see with his own eyes that the Pistons went into a zone defense. How does that constitute inside information? Inside information, by definition, is not something that anyone watching the game could know. Paige was wrongly awarded points and the show continued (as did my daily life).
Again, this is not the first time this has happened, just the first time it has been documented on this blog. ESPN needs to pull Stat Boy in and talk to him about this issue. I feel it is unfairly skewing the results of the show, leading me to wonder about the purity of the game anymore.
Then again, it's still one of the two best shows on TV, so why complain?

4 people who are forced to talk yankees/sox on a daily basis sorta ruins the show this time of year.
Coleman - gotta disagree with you on ATH. The show has become unwatchable. It has become Woody Page babbling incoherently, Jay Marriotti screaming at the camera and being a dick and Stat boy trying his hardest to turn the focus on himself and his antics. PTI is a much much smarter and better show
I'm generally not a big fan of media personalities taking up fake arguments against each other just for the sake of being different. It drives me crazy on political shows, but I almost recognize the necessity of it. On sports shows? What's the point? There aren't that many situations where people can legitmately disagree (unless, of course, you think the Pirates will win the NL Central).
PTI is still a good show, but the shtick has certainly run its course. The forced playful banter during the introduction make me want to turn the channel, but it's a good show once it gets running.
As for ATH, I definitely think Reali is better than Kellerman. That said, the show kind of sucks.
Let me say, I really not a fan of Cleveland, but have to give credit, where's do. Yes Lebaron
is a good basketball player, but
please no comparsion to Michael
Jordan, he maintained his constancy. One thing I really don't
like is all this latest Hype about
lebaron James. Which doesn't fit
then must aquit.Yes they got
pass the Wizzard with 4 of their
best score players on DL. Luck in their favor, then gotten pass the Miami Heat(Shaq and Company's) another luck, for some unlucky reason the Nets beat the piston, which gave them the second seed. My final say, when Lebaron
James make his performance on Shaq
and Company like he did the piston.
Then he'll get the glory that is given now.
Thanks Mr. Reali for good sports info.
