Terrible Jersey Hall of Fame: Tim Couch Cleveland Browns

I've asked a few sports bloggers for some of their favorite terrible jerseys. This jersey is the first to be nominated by multiple bloggers, and I'm sure that there are many other out there who share the pain of owning this terrible jersey. Rstiles and Ted Bauer get the honors of telling us how terrible this jersey really is.

JCMJ TERRIBLE JERSEY NOMINEE

Tim Couch Cleveland Browns

Owner(s): Ted Bauer of A Price Above Bip Roberts and Rstiles of Stiles Points

Year It Was Purchased: 1999, 2002

Jersey Category:
Never Lived Up To The Hype Jersey

Why Is It Terrible? :

From Stiles Points - This guy was supposed to be the shit....and that is what he was....worth shit. Yeah I know he had injuries and he had no O-line.....but he sucked.

From A Price Above Bip Roberts -
I'll admit, I partially purchased this Tim Couch jersey as a joke. The kids I was living with that summer - down in DC - were big fans of marginal sports figures. For example, in the NBA Finals that year, we were more intrigued by the fact that AI stepped over Tyronn Lue then the fact that AI had an absolutely incredible Game 1. Tyronn Lue was the story in that living room. We wanted more stories of that nature, so I purchased a Tim Couch jersey on EBay for about 14 bucks. As soon as it arrived, and many giggles resonated through that beer-soaked apartment, I wore it out to an off-campus party. I remember a Capitol Hill intern that summer looking at me and saying, "Couch? You can't be serious." I never wore it again. Now, it gets used as a top layer for my collection of Russ Meyer movies, so that no one opening that drawer in my room would know how much I adore the cinematic offerings of Russ Meyer; rather, they'd know that I, at one point, loved Tim Couch. I'm not sure which is worse, honestly.
