Terrible Jersey Hall of Fame: Mo Vaughn Angels Jersey

I've asked a few sports bloggers for some of their favorite terrible jerseys. This jersey comes from reader Ryan and this particular jersey is great example of why I started the Terrible Jersey Hall of Fame in the first place.

JCMJ Terrible Jersey Inductee

Mo Vaughn, Anaheim Angels

Owner: Ryan Murphy

Year of Purchase: 1999

Why Is It Terrible?
This one is almost too easy and it can be said that his New York Met
stint was even worse, but my terrible jersey is the #42 worn by Mo
Vaughn while with the Anaheim Angels, Disney Edition. We were all so
hyped over his signing and that joy lasted into his 1st game when he
fell into a dugout and then preceded to strikeout every other at bat
for the next 2 years. Not only was he a total bust but it gets extra
points because that "Flying A" jersey the Angels wore with colors
like periwinkle in it was absolutely hideous. I spent about $100 on
that thing in 1999 and it's now at the bottom of my rag bucket in the
garage.

UGH, I loathe Mo Vaughn. What a disgusting waste of space. And money. Lots of it. I thought I had erased that chapter in Angels history until I saw this jersey -- brings back horrible memories.

I have this same jersey, but I bought it as a joke for $10. Wearing it to an A's-Angels game infuriated fans of both teams.
