Terrible Jersey Hall of Fame: Glenn Foley New York Jets

I've asked a few sports bloggers for some of their favorite terrible jerseys. This jersey was spotted by Josh of The Feed and is a great example of spotting a truly awful jersey in public. if the picture doesn't tell you how bad this is, I don't know what will.

Why It's Terrible: This is just terrible on so many levels. In the words of The Feed, "I was at 14th Street and 5th Avenue where I saw a guy, his daughter and a very big, mean looking dog on a leash. He was actually closer to 15th as I walked uptown and I could see from some distance that he was wearing a #4 Jets jersey. I was racking my brain as I got closer and closer to the gentleman and his enormous dog, hoping that I could find somewhere deep in the recesses of my mind a Jet who wore #4 who wasn't Glenn Foley. Could there have been some old-timer who wore #4, an old punter or kicker that I wasn't familiar with, maybe, or a family member who had been a third-string quarterback for a time but as I got closer the man turned his back and let me know that I could stop the brain exercises. This fellow had indeed went out and got himself a Glenn Foley jersey. In fairness it could have been Foley himself but I really don't think so. This guy was so taken by the 18 games and 10 touchdowns that Foley threw as a Jet, undeterred by the 16 interceptions and the fact that he was almost exclusively a backup during his five seasons and, most shockingly, unbothered by the fact that it's been 10 years since Foley took a snap for the Jets. I would have said something to him but, as I mentioned, there was the big dog and the guy himself kinda looked like a tough character so I just walked by and wondered what possesses people sometimes".
