While it seemed a bit odd to be watching college football in April,I have to admit that I had a blast. One of the best tailgating experiences of my life (despite the sunburn). I'm sure that the appearance of the sun in Pennsylvania after what seemed like a month rain was part of the reason for 71,000 plus attending the game (not to mention thousands who just tailgated all afternoon).
While the tailgating was outstanding, the highlight of the game were the thousands of PSU students who wore maroon and orange in support of Virginia Tech. Absolutely outstanding gesture by the Penn State students. You honestly would have thought you were in Blacksburg instead of Happy Vally. Below are some of the best pictures I could take of the PSU students decked out in Hokie colors. Really was an unbelievable experience. Again, classy move by the PSU students and fans who organized this. You got yourself a new PSU fan, at least for a week or so...

I was there too.... Great to see everyone in orange. GO STATE
Great pictures -- Feel free to send over those tailgating pictures!
I posted a video of the pre-game tribute to Virginia Tech over at my place. Powerful stuff, wish I could've been there in person.
People don't realize how much this means to everyone affected. This Hokie will definitely be rooting for the Blue and White from now on!
It's a nice thought, but small acts of solidarity like this can be misleading. We feel all good about ourselves like we've done something, then proceed to ignore issues like gun control, which could have prevented this tragedy.
All the same, a nice touch.
sounds like a great experience, marco. definetely a good gesture.
As a Penn State alum, great to see this.
That said, I'd like to thank Anonymous for shitting all over a good gesture, so he can press his straw man gun control argument. Maybe if we'd passed a law against murdering innocent people, this wouldn't have happened, either. Oh wait.
Great point Mr Bojangles, the gun control debate will come later
Eh, just start the gun control debate now, will you? If a tiger had gotten loose and killed scores of students at VT, a lot of people would be wondering "hey, why exactly was a tiger allowed to get loose?" Same thinking applies to a gun.
