Breaking down the week that was in College Basketball....
Teams of the Week

Georgetown - Considered a disappointment at the start of the season, the Hoyas have turned things around in a big way. Wins this week against Louisville and Marquette puts the Hoyas just one game back of Pitt in the Big East.
Tennessee - How important is Chris Lofton? While he was out, the Vols went from Top 20 team to almost off the bubble. With him back this week, the Vols defeated LSU and Vandy to put themselves firmly back into the tourney.
Bad Week
Texas Tech - Talk about a hard luck week. Lost to Nebraska on a buzzer beater set up by one of thier own players saving a ball from going out of bounds and tossing it directly to a Nebraska player. Then the Red Raiders blow a 7 point lead with :30 seconds at Stillwater to lose to the Cowboys. If your counting at home, that's 5 straight losses for Bob Knight and 4 straight for Coach K.
Duke - A repeat winner (or loser) of the College Hoops Fix after letting North Carolina off the hook and then getting thumped by Maryland. That's now four straight losses for the Dukies, and some are even placing them on the bubble.
Introducing.....
Old Dominion - The CAA is going to get 2 teams into the tournament, and the Monarchs are making there case for an at large bid. Wins over a suddenly struggling VCU and Drexel puts the Monarchs only a half game back of first place in the CAA.
Temple - After winning 4 straight in the A 10, the Owls have as good a chance as anybody to win the A 10 this year. There's a good chance I'm going to be at the tourney in AC, and I'm honestly pumped. This might be the most wide-open conference tournament in the country. About 8 teams can win it.
Scores That Made You Look Twice
Virginia Tech 84 Virginia 57
West Virginia 70 UCLA 65
On the Bubble (Good)
Maryland - The Terps saved their season and any chance of making the tourney for the first time in 3 years with a win over reeling Duke
Mississippi - Never thought this team had any chance of making it in March, but with how muddled and confusing the SEC West is, a nice run through March gives them a shot
On the Bubble (Bad)
Vanderbilt - One way to get back on the bubble is to lose to conference foe (Tennessee) by 27.
Michigan State - This team is getting by purely on reputation. If they lose to Michigan this Tuesday, you can stick a fork in them.
Beyond the Bubble
Syracuse - I've already vented about the Cuse enough. Two point win over St. John's doesn't impress anyone
UMass - Loss to Temple kills any chance of an at large bid.
Mid Majors of the Week
Bucknell - As promised, here's a Bucknell-Holy Cross recap (because I'm not sure if anyone gets ESPNU). In probably the most physical game I've seen in quite awhile, the Bison almost blew a 6 point lead with 16 seconds left, but prevailed with a 48-45 victory over the Crusaders when Torey Thomas's shot rimmed out as time expired. The Bison held the Holy Cross to just 5 field goals in the entire second half. While all the attention has been on Holy Cross this season (rightfully so), don't count out Bucknell just yet. The two teams are tied atop the Patriot at 10-1 and heading towards a probable showdown in the Patriot League Conference Championship.Wright State - With a surprising victory over Butler this Saturday, Wright State actually leads Butler in the Horizon League.

Wright State is better than Butler, they just don't have the non-conference wins to prove it
