That title is a complete lie...but I wouldn't be surprised to see it someday. The reason I say this is that it seems as if Houston Nutt is linked to every single job opening in football. Today's job opening Houston Nutt might be taking is the Dallas Cowboys head coaching job. Here is a list of jobs Nutt has been linked to.....
Dallas Cowboys
Alabama
Miami
North Carolina State
North Carolina
Arizona State
That's just this offseason. Honestly, what is the appeal with Houston Nutt? Why all the attention for a coach whose team and fan base seems to be revolting against him? Granted, his team was 10-4 this year, but his overall record was an unimpressive 57-40 before that. Are these football teams really interested in hiring Houston, or does he have the greatest sports agent of all time floating his name around? I'm leaning towards the agent. Seriously, if anyone has any idea who Houston Nutt's agent is, let me know. I want to talk to him. And if I get a hold of that guy, be prepared for headlines like "Marco from JCMJ is reportedly mulling million dollar book deal" and "Marco from JCMJ may get own SI column".

If I were the Cowboys I would hire Charlie Weis, Jimmy Johnson, or Bill Cowher. Pay them enough to come be your coach. Weis is unrealistic, as I think his buyout is $21 m. However you could get Jimmy Johnson or Bill Cowher. If I were the Cowboys I would want Cowher. Pay him enough to come back and coach this season. Everyone has a price.
you forget that he was but a plane trip away from taking the Nebraska job, as well...
Why the hell did Nebraska want this clown? Supposedly they wanted to "modernize" their offense, but this fool knows so little about offense that he hired a high school coach as off. coordinator, which was a step up from the primitive offense he ran on his own before that.
His agent is Jimmy Sexton. Who is also Nick Saban's agent.
Same agent as Nick Saban?? That just makes too much sense now...
Y'know, I was gonna say that before Saban went to 'Bama, he would have been someone Jerry Jones would have tried to money-whip.
Pony up the cash to Cowher, Jerry.
Hey guys, what the hell? You obviously don't know much about Arkansas football. Nutt took over a program in disarray and made them a winner that nearly beat eventual National Champion Tennessee. Still not ready for NFL though.
Well then the Cowboys already got that in Bill Parcells (took over a team in disarray and made them a winner that nearly beat eventual NFC Champion Seattle). They might want to go with a guy who can actually win the big game this time...
