This whole post came about when I asked my cousin ( A Rhode Island School of Design grad), if his school had any sports teams.
"Yeah, we're called the Nads," he said
Nads?!? I was in total disbelief. I instantly looked up the school's website and sure enough, they are the Nads (In basketball, they are called the Balls. Equally awesome)
Following the discovery of my new favorite college nickname, I found myself searching for other unusual college nicknames. Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen. I never knew Dutchmen flew.
I am from Rhode Island, my friend went to RISD and said they named the Hockey team the 'Nads' so that the crowd could chant "Go Nads! Go Nads! Go Nads!"
