So I guess Florida has won the BCS Beauty Contest over Michigan and gets to play in the National Championship. What a freaking mess. Do I really think Florida is better than Michigan, after watching Arkansas basically hand them the game? No. Do I think Michigan should get a second shot at Ohio State? No. Basicially I have no idea should play in the National Championship. I can make arguments for and against both teams. To quote The Big Lebowski, "Are we going to have to split hairs here?" Yes Walter, you have split hairs to pick one of these teams. And it's stupid.

We should have seen the USC loss to UCLA coming, because it seems like a BCS #1 or #2 takes a loss every final weekend. I'm pretty sure this is karma at work. Seriously look at the evidence.
2006 #2 USC lost to UCLA
2004 #1 Oklahoma lost to Kansas State
2003 #2 Ohio State lost to Michigan
2001 #2 Nebraska lost to Colorado
1998 #2 UCLA lost to Miami
Adding credibility to the BCS system was Harris Poll voter and former Clemson star Brentson Buckner. While on ESPN's Bowl Selection Show, Brentson (pictured below) said one of the main reasons he voted Florida ahead of Michigan was that their only loss was to LSU, a team in the BCS top 5. Well as most mildy informed college football fans know, Florida's only loss this year was to Auburn. They beat LSU handily 24-10. So yeah that's who gets to pick who plays for the national championship. If only there was an easier way.

Ohio State did NOT lost to Michigan in 2002. They beat Michigan and went undefeated.
#2 tOSU lost to UM in 2003
"Ohio State did NOT lost to Michigan in 2002..."
good point. With analysis like that, it's easy to take your argument seriously.
You must have been with Brentson in '02
The UF - LSU score was 23-10 not 24-10 and LSU had 5 turnovers
Brentson also seems to forget that Michigan's only loss was to a team in the top 5 of the BCS as well. Not only that, their loss was to the only team in BCS history to have a "perfect" BCS rating of 1.
Yeah it's 03, not 02.My bad. 02 is when the Buckeyes won/stole the championship from Miami. Sorry, I'm still bitter.
